Measures and fit
Size guide
How to find the right size, and how to measure at home.
Rings
The ring size is the inner circumference in millimetres. Size 52 is 52 mm around the inside, about 16.6 mm across.
How to measure
- If you have a ring that fits: lay a ruler across the inside and measure the diameter in millimetres. Find the diameter in the table.
- Or measure your finger: wrap a strip of paper around the finger where the ring will sit, mark where the paper meets, and measure the length in millimetres. That number is your ring size.
Measure in the evening, when your fingers are warm. The ring has to pass over the knuckle. Between two sizes, choose the larger one.
| Size | Circumference (mm) | Diameter (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| 48 | 48 | 15.3 |
| 50 | 50 | 15.9 |
| 52 | 52 | 16.6 |
| 54 | 54 | 17.2 |
| 56 | 56 | 17.8 |
| 58 | 58 | 18.5 |
| 60 | 60 | 19.1 |
| 62 | 62 | 19.7 |
| 64 | 64 | 20.4 |
Bracelets
The length of a bracelet is the whole length, clasp included.
How to measure
Measure your wrist just above the wrist bone with a tape measure, or with a piece of string that you lay against a ruler. Add 1 cm for a snug fit and 2 cm for a looser one.
If the product page gives the length, compare it with the table.
| Wrist | Snug | Loose |
|---|---|---|
| 14 cm | 15 cm | 16 cm |
| 15 cm | 16 cm | 17 cm |
| 16 cm | 17 cm | 18 cm |
| 17 cm | 18 cm | 19 cm |
| 18 cm | 19 cm | 20 cm |
| 19 cm | 20 cm | 21 cm |
| 20 cm | 21 cm | 22 cm |
Necklaces
The length is the whole chain, clasp included. Where it falls depends on your neck and build; the table shows the usual.
| Length | Where it falls |
|---|---|
| 40 cm | At the base of the neck, close around it |
| 45 cm | At the collarbone – the most common length |
| 50 cm | Just below the collarbone, nice with an open collar |
| 60 cm | Mid-chest, nice over a sweater |
Lay a piece of string around your neck and see where it falls before you order.
